Year 2009 is less encouraging record results for the business software piracy in Indonesia. From the results of research issued by IDC revealed that software piracy activities in the country soared more precisely.
From the research that Indonesia ranked as the 12th state with the largest software piracy rate in the world. Percentage recorded was 85%. In other words, if there are 100 software analogy used is 85 of them are illegal software.
This self assessment carried out during 2008 and had announced in May 2009. This is a routine every year besutan Business Software Alliance (BSA) in collaboration with the IDC research institute.
Certainly the percentage of 85% was a minor achievement for Indonesia. For the past two years previously, Indonesia recorded a decent result to reduce the percentage of piracy, although only down 1%.
According to IDC data released, the percentage was 85% resulted in Indonesia was estimated losses or potential losses of U.S. $ 544 million.
The amount was increased dramatically when compared to the year 2007 where the piracy rate in Indonesia reached 84 percent and the level of estimated losses of U.S. $ 411 million.
The study itself is conducted on 110 countries around the world. Where is among 57 countries experienced a decline, 36 countries remain, while 16 states experienced an increase.

The government and the police would not seek nor nothing so increasingly rampant pirated software in the country.
